    Description

    This auction is for an Antique Pewter Plate, Probably Continental, c. 1800​. This is a fine pewter with a single reeded curved rim and showing very good manufacture. There are owner's initials on the front rim that read, "J. Du.". There is a partially worn impressed mark on the underside of the base. The mark appears to be a tree inside an oval. Above this mark it reads, "A". To the right of the image it reads only, "S". There may have been four letters present, another below and one to the left of the image. Those are the only readable marks.There is a museum or collection number engraved into the back rim. I offer this fine antique pewter plate here with no reserve and a Buy It Now at just above the 1957 value. DIMENSIONS: The pewter plate is 11/16" H. x 8 3/16" Dia.. CONDITION: The condition is very good for the age with some small dents, and wear to the surface.
