    Description

    American and English pewter from the Garvan and other collections at the Yale University Art Galleries is marvelously catalogued and well-illustrated in these two publications--Graham Hood's from 1965 and David L. Barquist's longer supplement from 1985.  Together they document one of outstanding collections of antique pewter from all regions of the United States, including works by Simon Edgell, Robert Bonynge,  John Will, Johann Christopher Heyne, William Will, Thomas Danforth II, Israel Trask, and Richard Lee.  Barquist's volume expands the scope to include 20th-century works as well as items from the Art Gallery's study collection.   Both volumes are in like new condition-- 59 pp. hardcover and 80 pp. softbound (as issued).
