  • Condition: The miniature South Carolina pewter alligator in this auction is in nice, well cared-for condition. From years of being wrapped in paper, the original casting, mold removal, and hand polishing by the artist, the paperweight shows its age. The pewter alligator is not cracked, repaired, or otherwise damaged. There is some discoloration to the front and back. Still, it’s pretty cool if you like alligators. Please enlarge and closely review each of the photos I’ve included with this auction and consider them an important part of the description......jeff

    Up for auction
    is a miniature cast pewter sculpture of a hungry South Carolina alligator. The little alligator paperweight was designed and hand crafted for Low Country Pewter by the Charleston, South Carolina, artisan Jim Marsh. The three
    (3) ounce pewter alligator is nicely detailed and measures 4 1/2" long x 1 1/4” wide (across the back at the front legs), and is 1/2” tall. The base is fully signed by the artist.
